in Kerkennah
A Chrysalis®
in Guyana
On the Kerkennah archipelago, off the coast of Tunisia, plastic pollution is mainly caused by the abandonment of used fishing traps in the Mediterranean. Every year, some 600 tonnes of plastic waste are discarded by the island's 2,500 fishermen. The installation of a Chrysalis® in this area will enable these traps to be recycled as low-carbon fuel for boats, in a move to support small-scale fishing.

In partnership with SBM Offhsore, a Chrysalis® will soon be installed in Guyana, on the outskirts of Georgetown. Our solution will enable used plastic bins (IBCs) to be recycled into energy via generators.
